Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez could be set for a spell on the sidelines this season.
The Uruguayan did not play the full 90 minutes in his nation's most recent game.
Nunez came off at half time in a game against Ecuador on Tuesday, with coach Marcelo Bielsa admitting he was not fully fit.
Bielsa stated that Nunez had a muscle discomfort that kept him out of action.
He told reporters: It seemed convenient to me to substitute him because he couldn't keep up with the game when we had to press."
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his big money front man is fit in the coming days.
