Liverpool hero John Aldridge feels they're one signing away from being a title challenger.
The former striker believes they still need one more midfield addition.
Aldridge wrote for the Sunday World: "I still feel there is more to come from this team, and one big addition could be the key in more ways than one.
"(Dominik) Szoboszlai has been superb, but there are times when his attacking instincts need to be curtailed, as he doesn't have that defensive shield behind him.
"The same goes for (Alexis) Mac Allister, who has proved he has a great long-range shot on him, but he needs to be careful not to show too much ambition at the moment.
"If Liverpool can get a top-quality defensive midfielder into the squad when the transfer window opens in January, we might see even more goals and invention from Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, which is an exciting prospect."
