Former Liverpool striker Ronny Rosenthal has dismissed claims the club is on the slide.
Rosenthal insists anything is possible with manager Jurgen Klopp in charge.
He told TMW: "I don't think a cycle has ended, English football is the most competitive in the world and it is natural that there may be a wrong season. There will be a Europa League to play and Liverpool will be the protagonist.
"It may happen that after so many years it's necessary to change, but that's not the case with Liverpool. In my opinion it's more a question of the quality of the players. One player per department will be needed, this will be enough to return to the top 4 as early as next year."
