Liverpool remain determined to add another midfield signing this summer.
The Reds have already signed Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.
However, another young midfield addition remains on the agenda.
The Liverpool Echo says the Reds have Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram and Southampton's Romeo Lavia in their sights. Talks have been held with both players as Liverpool's signing spree continues.
Liverpool are in the process of overhauling their midfield after the departures of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.
