Wolves have made more progress regarding the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Joao Gomes from Flamengo.
The 21-year-old has been a regular for Flamengo since October 2020, when he made his first team debut.
He had stated to ESPN a couple of months ago that he would love to move to Liverpool.
However, Gomes may have to settle for Wolves, as they will give him a chance to show his talent in the Premier League.
Per Daily Mail, Liverpool did not pursue a move, while Newcastle United also decided against bidding for Gomes.
Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui has been busy in adding to his squad this winter.
