Liverpool legend Graeme Souness insists it could've been more after their 7-0 win against Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp's team produced a performance for the ages with Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah scoring braces and Roberto Firmino also finding the net.

Souness said, "Manchester United were second to everything. The result did not flatter Liverpool. Liverpool ran riot. United got rolled over by a Liverpool team that were on it.

"Some spectacular performances today. I just fancied Liverpool today because this is a hard place to come for United. The crowd today were not going to allow Liverpool to lose this game. This is the best player to play, you a make a bad pass and the fans stay behind you. The team gave the, something to shout about.

"They can't carried away with this. That was a really solid performance today. They will have to look at when Manchester United looked threatening in the first half. In the second half, they were first to everything. It was like they had an extra man.

"You all have games when it doesn't go your way, but you need to fight. It must be an issue playing for United that they get a lot of publicity, far more than any other football club. People with lesser personalities can get carried away with it."
