Liverpool's loans manager David Woodfine is set to embark on a new chapter in his career.

The long serving head will leave the club at the end of the season.

Woodfine is departing after spending nine years at Anfield, where he took on various roles over the years since his arrival from West Ham United in 2014.

Per the Liverpool Echo, Woodfine will depart as soon as the season ends, with current head of academy recruitment, Matt Newberry, to take over his duties for now.

Woodfine leaving is another sign of behind the scenes changes at the club, who are set to embark on a major squad overhaul in the summer as well.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has indicated that he is ready to revamp his team after a poor season relative to their high standards in recent years.
