Liverpool are pushing ahead with their pursuit of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
The club are long-term admirers of the English midfielder, but Dortmund were not willing to part with him this summer.
According to Football Insider, while a transfer may not be possible this summer, the Reds are laying the foundations for a deal.
Jurgen Klopp sees Bellingham as the ideal midfielder to drive his team forward for the coming years.
They may even push for a deal with Dortmund this summer or in the winter, which would see Bellingham eventually join Liverpool in the summer of 2023.
However, the German giants may not accept anything less than a world record fee for a midfielder to make the transfer happen.
