Premier League giants Liverpool are said to be interested in signing a new midfielder.
The Reds are pursuing 22-year-old Porto all-action star Alan Varela, who is Argentine.
Varela only arrived at Porto in the summer from Boca Juniors and has been a regular since then.
Bolavip states that both the Reds and Manchester City are keenly watching the midfielder.
They are looking to make a move in the summer, with the Reds said to have been watching Varela since his Boca days.
However, any interested club will have to match his release clause worth 70 million.
