Liverpool management are calm about their squad ahead of the January market.

That's according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

He reported: "Still nothing imminent. Liverpool are always as they were for Cody Gakpo one year ago - if they find the right opportunity and the right player fine, they will go to sign the player. Otherwise they are fine with the squad they have.

"They are not desperate, even in the midfield. I see many players linked - many midfielders linked - with Liverpool, but they are not desperate for that."

On Mohamed Salah, he added: "I don't know what will happen in the summer. Guys, I keep repeating that if they told us one year ago Ronaldo, Mane, Neymar will join Saudi clubs in the summer, I was not going to trust it.

"But look what happened in the summer. It takes a lot of time before know the real story for the summer, he have to look at how the second half of the season is for Liverpool. Liverpool are doing fantastic - very well in the Premier League, very well in all the other competitions - so I think for Liverpool now the priority remains to focus on the pitch."
