Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that his players got two days off after their shocking loss to Wolves.
The Premier League giants, who nearly won the title last term but are now mid-table, have been extremely unimpressive since the World Cup.
However, Klopp did not order his players in for extra training, instead giving them time to recharge their batteries.
He stated in a press conference: We analysed, we spoke to each other and then we gave them two days off as it was a very long time between last Saturday and this Monday.
So I could have said Sunday training or recovery, and then from Monday on we go for them (Everton).
It wouldn't have been helpful at all. It would have been bad, it would have caused injuries, a lot of problems.
To be honest on Sunday after we spoke about everything, I thought 100 per cent it makes sense that we don't see each other for two days.
It was helpful. I left on Sunday in an average mood and I came back in a good mood.
I worked through it, I had a lot of phone calls but I was in a much better mood so it was beneficial."
