Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has hit back at recent criticism of the age of his team.
The Reds have been criticiwed for having an older core of players that has not been refreshed.
However, Klopp is adamant that his team, which was so close to the quadruple last season, is not over the hill.
"We have not the youngest squad, we know, but we have lots of young players as well," said the Liverpool boss to reporters.
"We built a team over the years, we were successful, and last season we almost won the quadruple - as close as you can get.
"A lot of the things we achieved is based on the experience the boys had together - one year later we are not great.
Everybody tells us, 'you're too old, we knew that already'. Ah, you knew it? Great'."
