Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte is being linked with a move to Liverpool.
Ugarte is the latest box to box star who is being touted as being the answer to the Reds' midfield woes.
Per O Jogo, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and their scouts are admirers of the 22-year-old.
Ugarte is enjoying a very good season at Sporting and may be seen as suited to the Premier League.
With a 53 million release clause, he would not come cheap, but would be more attainable than Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham.
Liverpool want to sign several midfielders, with Mason Mount and Ryan Gravenberch also targets.
