Liverpool are scouting Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella this season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport says Barella is on the 'list' of Liverpool midfield targets.
The 26-year-old helped his current club to the Serie A title in 2020/21 and has been a key player since joining Inter in 2020.
Barella has been followed for some time by Liverpool scout Paul Goldrick and chief scout Barry Hunter.
The figure Liverpool would be willing to pay 'remains unknown', but it's suggested it could take 80m - if not more - to secure his services.
