Liverpool star Darwin Nunez has been sent a message about how long it will take him to settle at the club.

Former Everton striker Kevin Campbell spoke about the Uruguayan forward and his arrival in the Premier League.

Nunez signed for £85.5 million from Benfica in the summer, but has not hit the ground running.

“This is one of the problems when you go to a club like Liverpool with the levels they expect to be at," Campbell told Football Insider.

“His sending-off did him no favours. He was still getting used to the Premier League.

“He's missed three games, come back – and now he's not scoring. He's not hit the ground running.

“Sometimes, it takes six months to settle in. Jurgen Klopp has the squad to change things around.

“He's got to find the right balance, and he's gone back to his tried and tested – and it's worked, in a sense.

“Nunez will get his game time, and Liverpool will come good. It's just a difficult time for him right now."
