Liverpool U19s missed a chance to get into the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League.
The Reds were beaten 3-1 by the Ajax youngsters on Wednesday night.
While the senior Liverpool side defeated the Dutch champions, Ajax Under-19s showed why the club's youth academy is always so highly regarded.
Jaydon Banel and Gabriel Misehouy had given Ajax an early lead in this game, with Trent Kone-Doherty giving Liverpool hope.
However, Ajax were the ones who scored in the second half, getting to a 3-1 lead, with the score staying that way until the final whistle.
