Liverpool continue the celebrations after winning the Premier League title with jubilant scenes extending from Anfield to around the city this evening despite rain throughout the day.
The champions’ victory lap concludes weeks after securing the title against Spurs and Mohamed Salah’s strike ensured a draw against Crystal Palace to round off a historic campaign.
It has not only been scenes of jubilation though, with an element of sadness for Trent Alexander-Arnold, despite being cheered on Sunday, as the right-back bids farewell to the club after 20 years, with a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer expected to follow in the coming days.
And the future looks bright, too, with the Reds plotting a big summer in the transfer market, after strong links with Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz to bolster Arne Slot’s attack.

It’s been a little damp in the city, but that hasn’t hit the mood, with joyous scenes with more than an hour before the bus departs.
After missing out on a parade three years ago, thanks to the Covid campaign, Liverpool fans are determined to make the most of this one.
The forecast in the next few hours suggests 80-90 per cent chance of rain right the way through to 8pm tonight, according to the Met Office. Temperatures are 14c, meaning a good jacket is essential to last the course today for the Reds.
There’s a little dip from 3-4pm with the chance of rain down to just 70 per cent.

Mohamed Salah said that he would have gone to the Saudi Pro-League this summer if he had not signed a new deal with Liverpool.
The Egyptian revealed he held “serious” talks with the cash-rich Saudi league. Al-Ittihad had bid £150m for him in 2023 and there was renewed interest from the division in recent months.
Liverpool rejected that but risked losing Salah on a free transfer this year, as his contract entered its final few months and after the forward described himself as “more out than in”.
