NABAWAN: The State Land Development Board (LKTNS) distributed nearly RM1 million in dividends to 175 participants of the Nabawan West Region Scheme plantation in the District for 2025, involving 441 hectares of oil palm cultivation.

The dividend handover ceremony was officiated by LKTNS chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Yassin at the board’s collection centre here on Monday.

Abdul Ghani said the dividend amount increased compared with the previous year and helped improve the socio-economic standing of participants.

He said the payout was about three times higher than the RM370,000 distributed in 2024, reflecting improved income for the local community and Integrated Rural Farm Scheme participants.

He attributed the achievement to efficient management, close cooperation between LKTNS and the community, strict supervision, and encouraging fruit collection and sales.
