Former Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has defended chairman Daniel Levy.

Lloris made a winning debut for LAFC yesterday against Seattle Sounders.

He told the Athletic: "In recent years I had less energy than in the past because we worked so hard but never got any reward.

"Levy? When you are at the top of the club you always want to try to make the best decisions. When they criticise him for not winning trophies, well, you have to remember that he brought in big names.

"And then, looking at the last two or three transfer windows, the club has always been very active."
