
KOTA KINABALU: A local authority quantity surveyor has been remanded for four days to assist an investigation into alleged bribery involving over RM200,000.
The remand order was issued by Magistrate Wan Farrah Farizza Wan Ghazali following an application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at the Kota Kinabalu Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The male suspect in his 30s was detained at the Sabah MACC office around 7pm on Tuesday after arriving to give a statement.

Sabah MACC Director Datuk S Karunanithy confirmed the arrest, adding the case is being investigated under Section 17(a) of the MACC Act 2009.
