A clouded leopard was found resting on the roof

In a statement, the Kuala Lumpur Civil Defence Force (APM) said they received a call about the incident and quickly rushed over.

On arrival, the adult clouded leopard (also known as a “tree cat”) was seen resting on the roof of a shed by the house’s perimeter wall.

It took the team nearly 20 minutes to safely capture the animal with a net before handing it over to the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN) for further action.

According to Harian Metro, clouded leopards usually live up in trees, hunting among the branches and resting on treetops during the day.

They’re also a fully protected species under the Wildlife Conservation Act 2010 (Act 716), which means they can’t be caught or kept as pets.
