Locally Assembled iCAUR 03 RWD Officially Rolls Out In Malaysia, Retaining CBU Price At RM119,740

iCAUR Malaysia has officially commenced local assembly (CKD) operations for the iCAUR 03 RWD, strengthening its electrified footprint in the Malaysian automotive market.

iCAUR is now assembling the 03 in Malaysia. The move follows the earlier CKD rollout of the dual-motor all-wheel-drive iCAUR 03 iWD in May and the local-assembly of the V23 in July.

Despite shifting from fully imported (CBU) status to domestic assembly, the iCAUR 03 RWD maintains its original introductory price of RM119,740 on-the-road without insurance for Peninsular Malaysia. The locally assembled model mirrors the imported iteration across all technical specifications, equipment levels, and driving dynamics, ensuring parity for buyers.

Single-Motor Powertrain and 426 km Range

The locally assembled rear-wheel-drive variant retains its established mechanical setup:

• Electric Motor Output: Powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor generating 135 kW (184 PS) and 220 Nm of torque.
• Battery & Range: Fitted with a 65.7 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, providing a driving range of up to 426 km under the NEDC cycle.
• Charging Speeds: Supports 80 kW DC fast charging alongside 6.6 kW AC charging for regular home wallbox replenishment.
• Driving Modes: Features five selectable drive modes calibrated to adjust power delivery across differing urban and rural road conditions.

The iCAUR 03 continues to carve out a distinct niche in the local electric vehicle sector with its upright, boxy retro silhouette. Combining rugged off-road-inspired aesthetic cues with modern electric vehicle proportions, the compact electric SUV offers high ground clearance, squared-off wheel arches, and practical urban packaging.

Assembly operations at the local facility officially commenced just this month and initial batches of the locally assembled iCAUR 03 RWD are scheduled to reach customer hands starting in October 2026, with initial delivery allocations available in limited quantities through authorized retail channels.
