Logistics firm to invest P20M in Carmelray ecozone

THE Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) said Friday that Tradam Import-Export Corp. would be investing P20 million for its operations in the Carmelray Industrial Park II in Laguna.

“By strengthening supply chain support services within our ecozones, Tradam’s entry as an ELSE helps reinforce the backbone of our manufacturing sector by ensuring the efficient flow of inputs within our ecozones,” PEZA Director General Tereso Panga said.

“This, in turn, allows our locators to remain competitive, agile and better integrated into the global value chain,” he added.

Tradam is an ecozone logistics service enterprise (ELSE) registered with the PEZA.

ELSEs are trading firms supplying production-related raw materials and equipment that cater exclusively to requirements of ecozone locators.

These support export manufacturing companies with logistics requirements to facilitate their import and export shipments, sourcing of raw materials, inventory management, just-in-time delivery, localization and process customization.

Tradam’s operations will focus on sourcing, warehousing, repacking and distribution of equipment, chemicals and consumables for PEZA-registered, export-oriented enterprises, serving as a logistics support hub within the ecozone supply chain.

By providing specialized logistics and inventory management services, Tradam will help manufacturers focus on core production, while ensuring timely availability of critical inputs. CHYNNA GRACE ONG
