TAWAU: National DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke was not only being disrespectful to Head of State Tun Juhar but also displayed prejudice when reprimanding two party leaders in Sabah for accepting Datukships conferred on them by the former’s birthday on Saturday.
Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Apas Division treasurer Datuk Najib Tay Abdullah said it showed that the party also practised double standards and resorted to bullying its members.
He recalled that Anthony was quiet when former DAP Tanjong Kapor Assemblyman Datuk Jimmy Wong received the same in Sabah and more recently when veteran leader, Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang, was made a “Tan Sri”.
“Questioning the award touches on the sovereignty of the Head of State,” he said.
