SANDAKAN: The Transport Ministry takes the public’s complaints and grievances regarding the high cost of airline tickets seriously, particularly during the festive season.
According to its Minister Anthony Loke, the setting of domestic air fares by national airlines is based on the rationalisation of the domestic air service sector in 2006.
He added, in this regard, the Cabinet has decided that national airlines that provide domestic air services are given the freedom to determine network coverage, flight frequency and fares they wish to offer based on market demand.
