London is a safer place without Chris Kaba, Tory leadership candidate Robert Jenrick has said.

The Conservative MP was asked for his opinion on Mr Kaba and the related trial of the police officer Martyn Blake who shot him dead.

It comes after Mr Kaba's criminal gang history was made public and the officer was cleared of murder.

Mr Jenrick told Sky News today (24 October): “Chris Kaba was on a one-man crime spree.

"He was stabbing. He was shooting. He was committing criminality on our streets.

"London is a safer place without this man and Sergeant Blake is a hero.”
