KUDAT: The Matunggong Welfare Department is looking for the family of a two-month-old baby girl (pic) found abandoned at a bus stop here near SK Tinangol.
According to its personnel, Connie Jikisoi, the infant was dumped at about 5pm on April 28.
“We are currently tracing immediate family members of the child’s biological mother known as Sheron from Kampung Tinangol here.
“To date, we have not received any information about the birth mother,” she said, adding the baby’s name is Thyana Ashley.
Connie said anyone with information should step forward to help in investigations under Section 15 (3) of the Children Act 2001 (Revised 2016).
“Please contact the Matunggong District Protector at 088-613793. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated,” she said.
