Lorry driver, 67, killed in Tawau crash

TAWAU: A 67-year-old lorry driver, died after the lorry he was driving crashed in an accident on Jalan Ranggu, while on his way home at 3.15pm on Friday.

Tawau district police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said the victim was said to be driving his lorry to return home at Jalan Hotspring from his orchard in Ranggu.

“On reaching the scene, the victim is believed to have lost control of his vehicle and skidded and crashed into a concrete bank causing his truck to overturn facing towards Jalan Ranggu,” he said.

Jasmin said the victim was taken to Tawau Hospital Emergency Unit by the public but was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.
