From speeding trucks to hesitant cars stopping in dangerous spots, violations at traffic intersections have become an all-too-common sight, putting lives at risk.
One such incident recently went viral, showcasing a perilous situation at a traffic light intersection, believed to be in Kuantan.
Captured by a dashcam and shared on TikTok by @dashcammalaysia___, the footage highlighted a lorry and a black Toyota Vios blatantly ignoring the red light.
The lorry, alarmingly, sped through the intersection at a high speed, while the Vios stopped awkwardly in the yellow box.
The lorry’s reckless action raised serious safety concerns, while the Vios driver’s behaviour left netizens speculating about their reasoning.
‘Maybe they’ll only get fined for half of it’
In the comment section of the TikTok post, one user speculated, “In my opinion, the driver probably saw police or JPJ officers on a motorcycle to the left, so they stopped at the red light to avoid getting fined.”
Another jokingly added, “They only ran the first red light and stopped at the second one, so maybe they’ll only get fined for half of it. Smart move!”
