IPOH, Oct 31 — Traffic was congested for six kilometres when a lorry skidded and blocked the road at KM263.4 northbound on the North-South Expressway (PLUS), between Ipoh and the Menora Tunnel, near here today.
PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) posted on its official X account @plustrafik that the accident occurred at about 9.28 am, causing the northbound middle and right lanes to be blocked.
“Comply with instructions by officers or the traffic sign at the accident site. Take all safety precautions, and may you reach your destination safely,” it posted.
However, as of 12.45pm, PLUS said that all the lanes have been reopened, but traffic was still slow-moving.
Earlier, the accident, which went viral on Facebook, was said to have caused a 12km traffic snarl. — Bernama
