LOTUS’s Malaysia has achieved a significant milestone with the opening of its 71st store at KSL Esplanade Mall, highlighting the retailer’s aggressive expansion strategy and its enduring partnership with the KSL Group.
The collaboration between the two organisations dates back to 2011, when the first Lotus’s store was launched at KSL Johor Bahru.
This latest opening signifies more than just commercial growth; it reflects a continued commitment to creating accessible, community-driven retail environments.

Lotus Malaysia Chief Financial and Property Development Officer Yvonne Yong said that the new outlet is particularly significant due to its history.
“This opening is deeply meaningful as it builds upon a partnership with KSL that has flourished since 2011.
“The success of this collaboration lies in our shared vision of creating integrated environments that seamlessly blend retail, hospitality, and community engagement,” she said.
She added that the KSL Esplanade location is strategically positioned, boasting excellent connectivity via major thoroughfares and expressways, as well as proximity to the upcoming LRT3 station, ensuring accessibility for a diverse customer base.

The new store is designed to meet daily consumer needs, stocking over 9,000 products ranging from fresh produce and groceries to household essentials and health and beauty items.
The store also features the popular in-house bakery brand, Lo’Ti.
Chief Operations Officer Neil Gurusamy emphasised that the store’s layout is tailored for efficiency.
“We view this store as more than just a retail space; it is about supporting everyday living. We have curated a wide range of essentials in a format that is easy to navigate, accessible, and focused on delivering quality at affordable prices,” he said.

The store layout features intuitive zoning designed to cater to three distinct groups: families seeking value, visitors prioritising convenience and time-conscious urban shoppers looking for quick solutions.
Affordability remains central to the Lotus’s strategy. To celebrate the launch, the retailer is offering a series of promotions from April 4 to April 8, including daily deals, ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ offers and discounts of up to 40 per cent across selected categories.

In addition to in-store games and sampling booths, My Lotus’s members can access exclusive benefits, including triple points and e-voucher rewards.
Shoppers also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing campaigns with prizes including a Proton e.MAS 5 and a trip to Dubai.
Yvonne reiterated that the expansion reflects the company’s broader mission.
“As we continue to grow, our focus remains on bringing quality, affordable essentials closer to where people live and work, ensuring that convenience and value are always within reach,” she added.
