Celebrate love and music inside the movie house as Ayala Malls Cinemas marks Valentine’s Day with special screenings of “Hamnet” and “The Rose: Come Back To Me” beginning Feb. 14.

The two films, a period drama and a music documentary, will screen exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas branches on select dates.

Directed by Academy Award winner Chloé Zhao, “Hamnet” stars Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Emily Watson and Joe Alwyn. The film is adapted from Maggie O’Farrell’s novel and draws inspiration from William Shakespeare’s “Hamlet.”

“Hamnet” received eight Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director for Zhao and Best Actress for Buckley. It also won two Golden Globe Awards, including Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for Buckley.

Early access screenings are scheduled at Trinoma, Glorietta and Manila Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 14. The film’s regular release begins Feb. 18.

Also screening from Feb. 14 to 20 is “The Rose: Come Back To Me,” a documentary following the indie rock band The Rose. The film chronicles the group’s rise in the music industry, their behind-the-scenes experiences and the challenges they faced in their career.

The documentary will be shown at Ayala Malls Cinemas branches in Manila Bay, Bonifacio High Street, Glorietta 4, Greenbelt 3, U.P. Town Center, Marquee Mall, Centrio, Capitol Central, Solenad, Feliz and Vermosa, as well as A-Giant Cinemas at Trinoma and Ayala Center Cebu.
