In a recent anonymous Twitter post, a Malaysian woman shared her emotional journey, revealing that her ex-partner demanded RM15,000 in compensation after their 4-year relationship ended due to family reasons.

According to the post, the woman disclosed that they decided to part ways because her partner's family did not approve of their relationship.

She mentioned her modest financial background and being a student, which led her ex-partner's family to label her as materialistic without ever defending her. Exhausted by the situation, she chose to end the relationship.

To her surprise, her ex-partner demanded the repayment of RM15,000 as compensation.

Initially, he claimed that she could repay the amount whenever she could, and she agreed, considering it as a debt owed to him. Within a year, she managed to allocate RM5,000 from her small business earnings to pay him.

However, her ex-partner started threatening her, insisting that she pay back the money quickly, preferably RM500 per month. Helpless as a student, she expressed her confusion about how to handle the situation.

"RM15,000 for 4 years? Even a domestic helper doesn't come that cheap."

"It's hard to find another top-tier scumbag like this one."

"If the relationship was consensual, why demand compensation after the breakup? Isn't a mutual separation better?"

The story of this demanding breakup compensation has stirred discussions among Malaysians, highlighting the importance of fair and respectful endings to relationships.
