Meet Ardbeg’s latest limited-edition single malt whiskies

Available only at Hank’s (in-store and on the Grab app) are three limited-edition single malt whiskies by Ardbeg. Founded in 1815, Ardbeg has since become one of the world’s most beloved smoky whiskies — and with the unveiling of its latest releases, Ardbeg continues to allude to collectability, craftsmanship and innovation. Let’s begin with Ardbeg Smokiverse, a fruity and vibrant spirit made using high-gravity mash and aged in bourbon casks.
Another launch is the latest addition to its Anthology series, The Beithir’s Tale. The spirit was matured in designer bourbon casks. Instead of being kiln-dried, the casks were air-seasoned and hence, creating flavours that are both creamier and fuller.
Last but definitely not least is Ardbeg 19 Years Old – Traigh Bhan Batch 7. Comprising 50.3% ABV, Batch 7 is part of a limited-edition annual drop inspired by the Islay’s Traigh Bhan beach. What sets this release apart from its predecessors is the usage of more first-fill sherry casks.

LARK unveils four new luxury whisky expressions

Tasmanian whisky brand LARK — founded by Bill and Lyn Lark in 1992 — is taking things up several notches with the launch of four new Single Malts. Presented in a redesigned 700ml bottle and all-new livery, the releases are Fire Trail, Devil’s Storm and Ruby Abyss as well as the Global Travel Retail-exclusive Cinder Forest. Created by Master Distiller Chris Thomson, the whiskies allude to innovation while respecting LARK’s house style; comprising apple-wood smoked water and custom fortified wine seasoning.
“Taste is our compass. Being New World means we’re not bound by historical rules. That freedom allows us to release whiskies only when they truly sing. We taste every spirit up to 70 times before bottling, ensuring each glass expresses the true essence of Tasmania, its community, climate and terroir,” said Thomson.
The latest whisky expressions are now available here in Malaysia. With Fire Trail, expect vibrant and bold notes; and with Devil’s Storm, one can look forward to a balanced and powerful flavour profile. There’s also Ruby Abyss, complex and indulgent with its century-old Australian Port reserve. As for Cinder Forest, enthusiasts will enjoy a layered experience filled with spiced dates, chocolate and sweet vanilla.
