Mortlach 30 Year Old is now available in Malaysia

Part of the ultra-luxury whisky segment is the Mortlach 30 Year Old, also known as Midnight Malt. Priced at RM30,600, the release is now available here in Malaysia in limited quantities. In fact, it’s said that there are only 10 bottles of the Mortlach 30 Year Old nationwide. Its deep amber liquid is a result of maturing in both American Oak and European Oak casks — providing the black pepper-like finish.
“There is both art and science in whisky-making. Mortlach 30 Year Old reflects that balance — a complex journey of flavour that evolves over time, revealing the depth of craftsmanship behind every drop, ” said Dr. Craig Wilson, Master Blender of Malts at Diageo.

Hendrick’s unveils Another Hendrick’s

It has been almost a decade since Hendrick’s unveiled a permanent addition to its portfolio. But, the wait is over because 2026 marks a new chapter for the Scottish gin distillery. Aptly called Another Hendrick’s, the gin — created by Hendrick’s Master Distiller Lesley Gracie — is a reflection of the classic that many have come to love but infused with orange blossom and cacao. Housed in a white bottle, the spirit (with 41.4% ABV) offers a smooth finish complemented by bright citrus elements and rich cacao notes.
“Another Hendrick’s with its delectable combination of orange blossom and cacao is really rather unusual. As a spirit with endless possibilities, I wanted to find a way to combine two of my favourite things in a way that felt authentic to Hendrick’s. After experimenting with different elements from the Hendrick’s Gin Palace’s tropical greenhouse, I discovered this brilliant profile featuring a depth of flavor, hint of sweetness and lift of freshness that is completely distinctive,” expressed Gracie.

The Macallan introduces the Valdespino Vermouth Origen

One of Jerez’s oldest sherry distilleries is Valdespino — of which The Macallan has 50% stake in via the former’s parent company, Bodegas Grupo Estévez. Through this partnership, The Macallan is able to craft its very own sherry while shaping the whisky flavours it desires. After all, sherry-seasoned oak casks have long been one of The Macallan’s most crucial components. A result of this move is the introduction of Valdespino Vermouth Origen, currently rolling out to select on-trade throughout the year. The Valdespino Vermouth Origen has a dark bronze colour, complemented by notes of caramelised citric fruit and rich spices on the nose as well as fresh citrus on the palate.
