Schalke sports director Jochen Schneider admits they're delighted with the impact of Jonjoe Kenny.
The fullback is on a season-long loan from Everton.
"We are happy that we have him. Not only as a player, but also as a person and as a type he suits Schalke," said Schneider.
"I hope that we will have the chance to keep him longer."
Kenny's loan deal does not include a buy option.
