Lucas Moura has posted an apology to Tottenham fans after his dismissal at Everton last night.

Spurs were 1-0 ahead when Moura saw red before Michael Keane struck Everton's equaliser.

Moura posted to social media: "There are good days and bad days, today is a bad day for me. No one is more frustrated than me. I made a mistake and I accept that. I am not this kind of player, and I didn't mean to do that.

"Sometimes, for the sake of milliseconds, something totally different happens than what you planned. I want to apologise to my team-mates, the staff, the fans, and the Club. I will keep working hard to help the team as much as I can until my last day at the Club.

"Jesus says, 'Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart because I have overcome the world.' He is my strength."
