PETALING JAYA: It was a Father’s Day to remember for a man from Raub, Pahang, who won RM28.9 million in the Magnum 4D Jackpot game after taking a punt last Sunday.
The lucky winner said he had just taken his daughter to buy new shoes at a shop when he was greeted by some staff at the Magnum 4D outlet next door.
“I’m a familiar face to them, so it was nice that they took the effort to acknowledge me. One of them encouraged me to purchase the Magnum 4D ‘Jackpot Lucky Pick’ ticket displayed at the counter.
“I’ve always had my own preferred numbers when purchasing lottery tickets but since it was Father’s Day, and I was feeling a bit happy from the day’s celebration, I decided to try my luck,” he said in a statement issued by Magnum 4D.

He brushed off the excitement of locals, but his wife prompted him to check his numbers.
“My wife had a hunch that it could be my lucky pick ticket. She decided to cross-check the numbers on the Magnum 4D website, and true enough, I was the lucky winner,” he said.
Stunned by the news, he went to the Magnum 4D outlet where he purchased the ticket to make sure that he really had won the 4D Jackpot prize.
He gave credit to the outlet’s workers for catching his attention on that fateful Father’s Day and for encouraging him to take a punt.
