- Lady Justice Thirlwall’s report from the public inquiry into the Lucy Letby case is set to be published in Liverpool on Tuesday morning.
- The inquiry examined how concerns raised by staff at the Countess of Chester Hospital were handled and whether Letby's crimes could have been prevented.
- Letby, 36, is serving 15 whole-life orders for the murder of seven infants and the attempted murder of seven others between June 2015 and June 2016.
- Senior judge Lady Justice Thirlwall heard evidence from numerous witnesses, including the victims' parents, between September 2024 and February 2025.
- Letby has twice been denied permission to appeal, but evidence presented on her behalf is currently being considered by the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
