A doctor went missing under mysterious circumstances in Ludhiana. His family suspected that he might have been kept under wrongful confinement by some unidentified persons. On the complaint of the doctor’s wife, a case was registered by the Sadar police.

The complainant, Shikha Sharma, a resident of Basant Avenue, in a statement to the police stated that her husband Gaurav Sharma was a doctor by profession and he owns a clinic in Partap Nagar. On June 11, her husband left for the clinic in his Mahindra Scorpio. Neither be reached the clinic nor did he return home.

“I suspect that my husband was kept under wrongful confinement by some unidentified persons and the police should hold a probe to trace him,” she said.

Head constable Balwinder Singh said after receiving the complaint, a case was registered. A probe was also launched to trace the missing man.

“Since the day the doctor went missing, his mobile phone had also been switched off. Call details of the victim are being procured to gather any clues. So far, there is no clue about the doctor. Even his family had not raised suspicion against any person,” he said.
