AS Roma striker Romelu Lukaku has hit out at the local press.
Lukaku joined Roma on-loan for the season from Chelsea and has been outstanding for the Giallorossi. The move only happened after agreements with Inter Milan and Juventus fell through.
Lukaku told Sporza: "Was I ever afraid that it wouldn't work out this summer? No, because people know my qualities. There were many people from outside who liked to talk on my behalf. So much c*** was published.
"I will say something at some point. If I really told how it all went this summer, everyone would be shocked.
"What was the craziest thing I read? It was enough that I had to go to a club that made no sense. There are moments when I could explode.
"Five years ago I probably would have done it, but I don't want to spend energy on it anymore."
