BEAUFORT: Many Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) chairpersons in the Lumadan constituency are appealing for their allowances to be paid promptly after being overdue for a long time.
A JKKK chairperson, who only wished to be known as Abd Sani, expressed disappointment that the allowances for both the chairperson and the secretary have not been paid for several months.
AdvertisementHe said although directives from the Chief Minister to expedite JKKK allowances have been issued, there have yet to be any positive developments.
“It is puzzling why the inefficiency in addressing JKKK welfare, which was carried over from previous practices, still persists,” he said to Daily Express here on Wednesday.
