SANDAKAN: Elopura Assemblyman Calvin Chong described the Firefly flight from Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan starting May 16 as not something the locals wanted.Firefly is one of the subsidiaries of Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG).
“The addition of Firefly flights in Sandakan does not represent the entire market, but only focuses on the business of the company group.
“I hope the Malaysian Tourism Board, the Tourism Association, the federal and state Department of Tourism and related units can provide suggestions and try to attract more low-cost airlines to the Sandakan market, so as to achieve the effect of market diversification,” he said.
