Luton Town boss Rob Edwards was left "flat" after their thrilling 4-3 defeat at home to Arsenal.

Declan Rice found the winner seven minutes into injury time on Tuesday night.

Edwards later said: "Immeasurably proud of the lads but disappointed [with the loss] and really flat. I don't think that has ever happened to me, conceding that late to lose a game so I'm flat right now.

"For a newly-promoted team to be fighting like we are and to show that quality to get back in the game and get ahead, but ultimately we scored three goals and got nothing from it so we have to keep improving.

"Our third goal shows a side to us people don't think we have. I love working with them, every day. They are good technically and tactically and this team is evolving in the hardest, toughest league in the world - we're getting better and that gives me a lot of confidence.

"We have got a couple of wins and want more but a lot of our performances have been like that. We got a point against Liverpool and pushed Tottenham close.

"We have a belief in this group, I believe in this group and with the spirit and fight we are showing we hope we can achieve something special."
