FOUR luxury cars and 727 other personal items belonging to celebrity entrepreneur Datuk Seri Vida are set to be auctioned off on Oct 30, after being postponed since December last year.
The auction was announced yesterday via a notice published in the advertisements section of a local English-language newspaper by Vida's creditor, AH Design Communication Sdn Bhd.
The move follows Vida's failure to settle the amount owed to the subcontractor company, AH Design Communication.
The court proceeded with the auction after she failed to reach a settlement offer, and her request for a nearly year-long postponement was rejected.
Vida had earlier requested the postponement because she claimed the seized items were loaned, but the court ruled otherwise when she failed to present any evidence.
The goods were seized during a five-hour operation at her luxury bungalow in Ipoh on Nov 25 last year.
Vida had failed to settle outstanding payments of more than RM1 million to AH Design Communication from 2018.
Apart from the cars, other items seized included various household goods such as a Sharp toaster, a Coway water filter, a dressing table, and a refrigerator.
The auction was initially scheduled for Dec 9 but was postponed after the Kuala Lumpur High Court granted Vida's application for a stay of the process. – October 16, 2025
