Kota Kinabalu: Sabah People’s Human Rights Association President Lee Pun Yee urged Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe to resolve the lack of safety measures, which led to car accidents at the intersection of Luyang Oriental Garden and Lintas, as soon as possible.

He stated that on Feb 12, at 4.35pm, a citizen reported an accident involving two cars at Lintas, Luyang Oriental Garden.

“If safety measures were not improved and strengthened, major accidents will occur,” he said, adding that motorists need to take extra precautions as well.

He said there was no overpass lane on this part of the road before. When the traffic accident site exited the intersection, it was very slippery along the lane.

“Since the flyover lane was built, motorists complained about crashing into other vehicles.

“Luyang Assemblyman Phoong Jin Zhe should give priority to this issue to get the support of the local community.”
