How well do you know what you can or can’t bring when boarding a flight? Not many travellers are a 100% sure about the specific rules for what you can have in your carry-on and checked luggage. So, if it’s your first time flying, you might want to keep reading…

She was stopped by the auxiliary police

In the video, one of the women going through the airport security scan was stopped after the security alarm went off, leading the auxiliary police to intervene and check her belongings.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Epot shared that her company had organised a trip from Pahang to Langkawi, and for most of them, it was their first time flying.

The alarm scanner kept beeping after she attempted to pass through multiple times

Epot continued to explain that when they arrived at the airport, everyone else had placed their phones and belts in the basket for scanning, and her friend Anis was the last one to go through.

“After Anis went through the scan, I started recording her because she has a quirky personality, and I thought it would be fun to capture the moment.”

However, when she went through the scanner, it beeped. She had to step back and remove whatever was in her pockets, but it still beeped, leaving her confused.

The scanner kept beeping because she had mouth spray on her

After several attempts, the officer decided to double-check Anis’ pockets and found a mouth spray she had forgotten about. When passing through the scanner, everyone is required to remove all metal items and place them in the provided basket.

Epot continued to share that despite Anis being stopped by the officer, they didn’t confiscate the mouth spray, instead they just wanted to ensure there were no dangerous items.

“My advise to readers out there is to take a video as a reminder or preparation before your flight. Make sure to remove items like belts, phones, and anything metal-related because they can trigger the scanner. If you have metal body parts like braces or prosthetics, just inform the officer in charge to avoid multiple scans.”
