Wherever you are in the world, it is important to adhere to traffic laws and regulations as they are there for a reason: To keep you and other road users safe.

Unfortunately, it is not the case for this Malaysian-registered bus driver who was caught breaking several traffic laws while in Woodlands, Singapore.

Worse, the bus could’ve caused an accident and endangered others on the road, not to mention the driver and passengers of the bus themselves.

Shared by SG Road Vigilante – SGRV on Facebook, a video of the incident, recorded from a motorcyclist’s dashcam showed the bus speeding and dangerously running the red light at a junction.

The bus, a blue ‘Bas Pekerja’ or Workers’ Bus, has a Kuala Lumpur plate registration and was then seen mounting a kerb at the next traffic light.

We have no idea why the bus mounted the kerb but it is believed that the bus driver didn’t have enough time to brake following the vehicle’s acceleration to run the red light.

Hence, the bus had to mount the kerb so as to avoid hitting the vehicles in front. Well, thankfully no one was harmed by the bus’ dangerous driving.

The incident allegedly took place yesterday (20 June) at Woodlands Avenue 12 in Singapore. As of the time of writing, no action has been taken against the bus driver nor did the country’s road transport department issued any statements.
