It is said that beauty pageant winners have to be beautiful both on the outside and on the inside. But, what if the winner was allegedly a bully in her past? Should that disqualify her from her win?

The winner of ATV Miss Asia Pageant Malaysia 2023 is now being called out, by the general public and those who apparently were her victims, for being a bully during her schooling days.

Luwe Xin Hui, @luweexxi, took to her Instagram page to announce her win, only for the post to blow up with comments pointing out her alleged bullying past.

It appears that many of the comments recounting how she apparently bullied her victims have been deleted, though others are still condemning her after hearing the stories of how she allegedly was a tyrant to her former schoolmates.

They have since also called for Luwe’s ATV Miss Asia Pageant Malaysia 2023 title to be retracted.

“She bullied someone else’s precious daughter in school because her father was a member of a gang. My niece was once beaten and slapped by her and her friends. If I remember correctly, she was slapped about 3 times. I will not let this go.”

“You’re deleting comments after bullying people? I was one of the people bullied by you, so why don’t you come out and say that you’re sorry? Bullying people everywhere, double face.”

“When you bully people, have you ever considered that they would have a destroyed childhood because of you? Some people have suffered with depression and they can’t sleep at night. Have you every thought that you will ruin someone’s happy schooling experience? Did you consider that when people think back to their schooling days, you were always the one with the ugly face of bullying? People with bad intentions do not deserve anyone’s respect.”

“The champion? You don’t deserve it, sister bully.”

Luwe has since shared another post addressing this issue, where she claimed that most of the accusations were falsified and apologised for the few instances she owned up to. Though, the people are not having it and ultimately felt that she was ‘sorry, not sorry‘.

The pageant and their organiser, Asia Television News, took to their social media pages to share a statement and also a video of Luwe where she once again addressed the issue and apologised.

“Asia Television News Executive Director, Liang, issued a statement sharing that Asia Television News firmly believed that every contestant should enjoy respect and fair competition opportunities in this pageant. The company will strictly review the circumstances involving the accusations to ensure fairness in the investigation process and transparency,” they shared.

What do you think? Should her title be retracted or should the past stay in the past?

Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
