The Malaysian fan community of K-pop group BTS has gone into an uproar following troubling claims over the allocation and distribution of VIP tickets for the upcoming BTS World Tour “Arirang” concert at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, this December.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Nik shared more details after a local influencer allegedly posted about CAT1 and VIP tickets being available before the official public sale. The post has since been deleted.

Influencer allegedly promotes CAT1 tickets before presale
Nik shared a screenshot of a conversation in which a person claiming to be the influencer’s manager appeared to agree with the claim in the post. The manager also clarified that the post was taken down after the tickets were sold out.

A fan managed to get hold of the influencer’s manager to ask about the post made by the influencer
Several other screenshots shared with WORLD OF BUZZ also showcased fans reportedly contacting the influencer via direct messages to ask about ticket availability and the legitimacy of the tickets being promoted.
When asked if the tickets were legitimate, the influencer allegedly responded, “I’m an influencer, I never do illegal things.”

Fans questioned the influencer over the claims made in her post

“These allegations strike at the heart of fairness and integrity. Genuine fans have faced extreme difficulty securing tickets, especially in VIP categories. If true, pre-sale allocations to privileged groups, along with scalpers and automated bots, would effectively block ordinary fans from access and undermine trust in the entire ticketing process,” Nik said.
Additionally, while the alleged “internal tickets” have reportedly sold out, BTS fans have also claimed that scalpers are now reselling them online at highly inflated prices.

Official ticket sales for the BTS WORLD TOUR “ARIRANG” in Kuala Lumpur are reportedly set to open in stages, with the earliest presale starting on 3 June 2026, 11 AM.
Fans hope for clarification and transparency
Nik also questioned whether Malaysian fans were given priority access to any reserved ticket allocations and expressed hope that measures are being taken to minimise scalping activity and improve ticket accessibility for fans.
Meanwhile, fans have been discussing online claims that some VIP tickets may have been set aside for influencers, sponsors, media, or other selected groups before fans were given a fair chance to buy them.
WORLD OF BUZZ has reached out to the organisers and the influencer for comment, but has yet to receive a response.
